ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR TRANSPORTATION OF ROAD MATERIALS

The City of Visalia is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide transportation of road materials, including asphalt, decomposed granite, aggregate base, or chip rock, for the City's street maintenance program. The initial contract will be for a 12-month period, with the option to renew annually for up to four consecutive one-year periods. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, equipment, and services to fulfill the requirements of the contract. • The contract will require the transportation of road materials from an asphalt batch plant or sand and gravel quarry to a job location. • The contractor must have adequate office and personnel resources to respond to the City's needs. • The contractor must comply with all applicable safety and motor vehicle regulations. • The contractor must provide insurance as required by law and as indicated in the proposed contract. • The contractor must maintain all personnel files and payroll records for employees used to implement the proposed contract.
