Description
The Mississippi Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the purchase of a 20 Cubic Yard Dump Body. The contract period shall be Commission Approval through September 30, 2027. Bidders must submit their bids by Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 10:30 AM CST. The award will be made based on the lowest bid submitted meeting the Mississippi Department of Transportation specifications and bid requirements.
* Key points to consider:
• The contract term shall be for a period of twelve (12) months, with the possibility of extensions.
• The total quantity of units to be purchased by MDOT is not known, with a minimum purchase of one (1) unit and a maximum purchase of fifteen (15) units.
• All items must be new and of current make and model, with any and all equipment for which bids are submitted having been produced or replaced in earlier makes of the same model for a minimum of the last three (3) years.
• The Mississippi Department of Transportation reserves the right to request samples of equipment for inspection and evaluation at any time in the bid process up until the time of award.
• The Mississippi Department of Transportation reserves the right to reject any bid that does not meet the intent of the RFX proposal or does not appear to have been manufactured with materials or labor workmanship to produce an acceptable standard of quality.
