Description

The City of Rochester is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive wayfinding solutions for municipal properties. This includes the design, production, and installation of signage and graphics that help residents and visitors navigate public spaces such as municipal buildings, parks, and transportation facilities. The effort aims to improve wayfinding consistency, visibility, and accessibility across the city’s built environment. • Design and develop a full set of interior and exterior wayfinding signage, including directional, informational, and regulatory signs. • Produce high‑quality graphics and signage materials that comply with ADA standards and the city’s branding guidelines. • Install the signage throughout designated city locations, coordinating with municipal facilities staff to minimize disruption. • Provide maintenance plans and warranty details for the installed wayfinding system.

Budget estimate

$50,000 – $200,000

Based on typical municipal wayfinding projects in comparable U.S. cities, the scope (design, production, and installation of a comprehensive signage system) usually falls in the $50,000‑$200,000 range. Smaller cities may spend nearer the low end, while extensive multi‑site implementations push toward the high end. Factors influencing the final amount include the number of locations, material choices, and any required custom artwork.
