The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking competitive bids to supply a variety of open‑ and enclosed‑type product and material trailers for use in hauling and storing orange barrels, traffic cones, road signs, and barricades. The solicitation will result in an agency‑specific term contract with an initial three‑year period, renewable at the agency’s discretion. Bids must be submitted electronically by the bid opening date, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder that meets all technical specifications and certification requirements. Vendors must be registered in the state’s Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP) and provide complete pricing, financial, and compliance documentation.
• Required trailer types include multiple sizes of open single‑axle utility trailers (6‑ft × 8‑ft, 6‑ft × 10‑ft, 6‑ft × 12‑ft), tandem utility/landscape trailers (7‑ft × 14‑ft, 7‑ft × 16‑ft, 7‑ft × 18‑ft, 7‑ft × 20‑ft), enclosed cargo trailers of similar dimensions, and lane‑closure trailers.
• Quantities are generally 15 units per model, with a smaller quantity (10) for enclosed lane‑closure trailers.
• Vendors must submit a completed Pricing Form, Financial Certification, Worker‑Location form, and, if applicable, an EO‑50 price‑matching request.
• All equipment must be delivered fully assembled, ready for use, and accompanied by warranty, certification, and maintenance documentation.
• The contract term is three years with possible extensions; performance will be monitored via an Equipment Preventative Maintenance Questionnaire submitted within 10 days of purchase‑order issuance.
