The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to design, fabricate, deliver, and install temporary shoring/jacking assemblies, remove existing rocker‑bearing assemblies, and install two new multi‑rotational disc‑bearing assemblies on Pier 10E of the Newport Pell Bridge. The scope also includes demolition, welding, painting, environmental protection measures, traffic control, and ancillary concrete/steel repairs. This fixed‑price contract requires expertise in bridge bearing replacement, temporary shoring systems, and related civil‑structural work. • Provide two temporary steel shoring/jacking assemblies with web stiffeners. • Remove existing steel‑girder rocker‑bearing assemblies (keeping masonry plates). • Install two D.S. Brown DMG‑600 multi‑rotational disc‑bearing assemblies with beveled sole plates and masonry spacers. • Perform demolition, welding, painting, BMP over‑water protection, traffic control, and miscellaneous concrete/steel repairs.
