Concrete Box Culverts to Pipe Culverts (25-25) (Co. Engineer)

The Lancaster County Engineering Department is seeking bids for the replacement of box culverts with pipe culverts at various locations in Lancaster County, Nebraska. The project includes the installation of culvert pipes, headwalls, and erosion control measures. The contractor will be responsible for clearing and grubbing, excavation, and backfilling, as well as providing temporary traffic control and maintaining the construction site. The project is expected to take 58 working days to complete. • The project includes six locations: A-023, A-024, B-037, C-013, C-106, and D-138. • The contractor must demonstrate their responsibility to perform the work through prequalification, prior work experience, or similar work experience. • The contractor will be required to provide electronic working drawings and shop drawings for approval by the Project Engineer. • The project includes a disincentive clause, which will penalize the contractor $250 per day for each working day beyond the authorized number of working days per site. • The contractor will be responsible for maintaining the construction site and ensuring that all barricades and warning signs are properly erected and maintained.
