The City of Cincinnati is seeking a consultant to assist with the design and implementation of the recoating and improvement project for the Main Station Standpipe. The standpipe is a riveted-steel plate standpipe that was installed circa 1902 and is in need of recoating. The consultant will be responsible for developing a detailed design package, working with the City to identify improvements, and providing construction administration services. The project will be completed in four phases: detailed design, bidding, construction administration, and warranty. The consultant will be required to work with the City to ensure that the methods used are practical and do not detrimentally affect the quality of water in the standpipe.
• The standpipe is a critical component of the City's water system and must be protected during the project.
• The consultant will be responsible for reviewing all submittals and providing recommendations for approval or resubmittal.
• The consultant will also be responsible for providing a NACE certified paint inspector to monitor the rehabilitation operations and ensure proper surface preparation, ambient conditions, and coating installation.
• The project will require the consultant to work closely with the City and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
