The Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service Acquisition Division, is planning to solicit offers for armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at various locations throughout the Ft. Worth, Texas and Dallas, Texas regions. The requirement will be competed as a task order on an existing Multiple Award Contract (MAC) in accordance with FAR Part 16.505. The resultant task order will consist of a one-year base period and four one-year ordering periods. The services will include providing PSOs to ensure comprehensive staffing coverage for both remote posts and posts in densely populated metropolitan areas. The benefits of consolidating these efforts under one contract include a reduction in overhead, simplified contract management, improved resource allocation, and more efficient strategic planning.
• The contract will cover a significant stretch of land, including over 200 square miles in the Dallas metropolitan area and over 150 square miles in the Fort Worth/Central Texas area.
• The services will require the vendor to allocate PSOs more efficiently across the entire geographic area, ensuring adequate coverage at all locations.
• The vendor will be responsible for providing standardized services across all locations, ensuring consistent quality and a reduction in the time and effort required for contract administration.
