Mission Road Underground Utility District Project

The City of South San Francisco is seeking bids for the Mission Road Underground Utility District Project, which involves relocating overhead utility lines, installing new utility boxes and conduits, constructing new sidewalks and curb ramps, and other related work. The project has an engineer's estimate of $6.26M. The city reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularity in any proposal received. The basis of the award shall be the lowest responsible bidder on the Total Base Bid. The city may also award additive alternates. • The project includes relocation of overhead utility lines to below ground within the Underground Utility District. • Installation of new utility boxes, vaults, and conduits along and within joint trenches. • Construction of new sidewalks and ADA compliant curb ramps. • Installation of a streetlight lighting system. • Removal of existing inlets and construction of new inlets and storm drain manholes. • Removal of existing utility poles and restoration of surface features. • Adjustment of utility covers to new grade. • Performance of water pollution control work and implementation of an approved traffic control system.
