Charles County Public Schools is seeking qualified vendors to remove an existing cargo box and liftgate from a Ford F‑450 delivery truck, dispose of the old equipment, and furnish and install a new dry‑freight aluminum cargo body with a heavy‑duty liftgate. The contract is a one‑time purchase and installation; all labor, materials, transportation, disposal, permits, insurance, and related services must be included in a firm‑fixed price. Vendors must submit a complete quote package (signature page, business relationship affidavit, pricing sheet, references, and W‑9) by the October 27, 2026 deadline. The project will result in a fully operational vehicle ready for school‑system deliveries of paper products, instructional materials, and supplies.
• Remove and properly dispose of the existing cargo body and liftgate.
• Supply and install a new 16’‑6”‑long, 96”‑wide, 100”‑high aluminum cargo body with plywood‑lined interior, galvanized side posts, hardwood floor, roll‑up rear door, and securement points.
• Supply and install a heavy‑duty aluminum liftgate (minimum 2,500 lb capacity) with LED lighting, backup alarm/camera integration, and commercial‑duty controls.
• Perform all electrical integration, testing, and final acceptance inspection.
• Provide all required insurance, warranties (1‑year), and comply with Maryland child‑protection and non‑discrimination statutes.
