Used Trailers & Trucks

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Corrections (DOC), is seeking bids for used dry box trailers, used flatbed trailers, and used trucks for SCI Huntingdon and SCI Mercer. The solicitation is comprised of two lots, and contractors may bid on one or both lots. The units must meet specific minimum specifications, including model year, condition, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. The contractor must deliver the units to the specified locations and ensure they are in working order with current PA state inspection. The contractor must also comply with all Department of Corrections rules and regulations while on state property. • The used dry box trailers must be 53 ft in good condition and 2020 or newer. • The used flatbed trailers must be 40 ft or 53 ft and 2020 or newer. • The trucks must be from acceptable makes, have standard 10-speed or 13-speed transmissions, be sleeper trucks, and have a mileage of 500,000 miles or under. • The contractor must upload a copy of all vehicle service records and vehicle history reports if available. • The contractor must fill out and attach the mandatory forms, including the Workers Protection Form and Reciprocal Limitations Form.
