Budget estimate

$200,000 – $300,000

The engineer’s estimate for the entire scope is $250,000. Considering typical contractor margins (10‑20 %) and potential change orders, the net earnings for the winning firm are likely to fall between $200,000 and $300,000. Factors influencing the final budget include the actual quantity of material used versus estimated, any additional hourly work (as allowed under item 27), and the contractor’s ability to control labor and equipment costs.
