Budget estimate

$150,000 – $400,000

Based on the 2025 volume estimate of ~48,534 gallons of used motor oil and a typical contractor bid range of 60‑80 % of the WTI gallon equivalent (≈ $1.20‑$1.60 per gallon), the oil‑related payment to the county would be roughly $58,000‑$78,000 annually. Adding fixed unit fees for antifreeze (≈ $0.30 / gal × 4,610 gal ≈ $1,383) and filters (≈ $5‑$8 per barrel for crushed and uncrushed filters, totaling ≈ $500‑$800), total contract value to the contractor could range from $65,000 to $85,000 in direct service fees. Considering overhead, equipment, labor, and profit margins, the overall contract award is likely to be in the $150,000‑$400,000 range. Factors influencing the final amount include fluctuations in WTI prices, actual waste volumes collected, travel distances between sites, and the contractor’s efficiency in processing.
