REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR FIBER OPTIC NETWORK PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP

The Town of Tiburon is seeking one or more qualified Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to partner with the Town on a plan to collaborate on a fiber-to-the-premises (FTTx) buildout. The goal is to provide ubiquitous fiber services for residents and businesses, improve municipal operations, and establish Tiburon as a leader in community connectivity. The partnership will involve the design, construction, operations, maintenance, billing, sales, and customer support for a new fiber optic network. • The project will be completed in phases, with the first phase potentially starting in Summer 2026. • The Town is seeking a qualified partner with experience in network design, construction, operations, and maintenance. • The partner will be expected to provide services such as network operations, maintenance, and management, as well as customer installation and repairs. • The Town is seeking a partner that can provide a commitment to match funds, in-kind contributions, or other contributions that reduce the financial burden of the project.
