Off Campus Fiber Builds

Clemson University is seeking bids for companies to provide outside plant fiber optic network builds to multiple campus sites. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, tooling, and miscellaneous mounting hardware and consumables for each cabling system installed. The contractor must adhere to Corning Cable Systems' guidelines and provide a 25-year warranty for the installed infrastructure network. • The scope of work includes fiber optic cable installation, splicing, terminating, and testing. • The contractor must have experience in telecommunications wire and cable installation. • The contractor must be a Corning Cable Systems LANscape Solutions Network of Preferred Installers (NPI) member. • At least 10% of the optical fiber installation and termination crew must be certified by Corning Cable Systems. • The contractor must provide documentation of training by other accepted fiber industry institutions. • The contractor must provide references with projects completed during the last two years, similar in nature to the projects described in the scope of work.
