UND McCannel Hall - Geared Traction Elevator Modernization

UND is seeking a qualified contractor to modernize the existing geared‑traction passenger elevator in McCannel Hall, Grand Forks, ND. The scope includes complete mechanical refurbishment, replacement of the machine, drive, control system (non‑proprietary), door operators, guide rails, car and counter‑weight components, cab interior finishes, and related testing and commissioning. Electrical work is excluded and will be performed by another party. Bids must be submitted electronically via the Jaggaer portal, accompanied by a bid bond of at least 5 % of the bid price, a current North Dakota contractor’s license, and all required insurance and bonding documentation. The project must start June 1, 2026 and reach substantial completion by December 18, 2026, with the performance window originally set for May 18 – August 7 2026. A pre‑bid inspection is scheduled for March 19, 2026 (optional but strongly encouraged).
