Description
The Town of Tisbury seeks a certified public accounting firm to provide comprehensive municipal financial remediation and consulting services. The contractor will stabilize the town’s financial systems, develop and implement internal controls, review and revise financial policies and procedures, train staff, and prepare the town for an external audit. Deliverables include a detailed work plan, periodic progress reports, a final comprehensive report with recommendations, and an in‑person presentation to the Select Board or Finance Committee.
• Perform accounting remediation, reconciliation, and financial‑system stabilization.
• Design, implement, and document internal controls and update financial policies.
• Provide staff training and audit‑readiness preparation, culminating in a final report and presentation.
• Work must be completed within 150 days of contract execution, with progress reports every 30 days.
