Intent to Sole Source: Digital Licensing Plate Hardware, Software and Line Equipment Bailment

The Department of Corrections is considering an intent to sole source with 3M Company for Digital Licensing Plate Hardware, Software and Line Equipment Bailment. This includes precision plate system (PPS) consumables, plate builder software, blanking line and HD liner removal equipment, and annual maintenance for license plate, tabs, and decal production. The State Procurement Services Division will accept written comments from potential vendors who believe they have the ability to provide an equivalent product and services, meeting all of the requirements listed above. • The current expired sole source contract for consumables, services, and software is for specialized original equipment manufactured by 3M and is needed for continued and uninterrupted production of license plates, tabs, and decals for the citizens of the State of Montana. • The State Procurement Services Division will accept written comments from potential vendors who believe they have the ability to provide an equivalent product and services, meeting all of the requirements listed above. • Vendors interested in providing this product to the State of Montana are invited to provide a detailed description of their product.
