International Bridges Rehabilitation

The City of El Paso is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate international bridges. The project includes mobilization, localized traffic control, supervision, coordination, and general conditions. The contractor will be responsible for rehabilitation of bridges, installation of lighting, and temporary erosion, sediment, and environmental controls. The project will be conducted in four to six phases per bridge. The contractor must comply with restrictions on construction operations, limitations on use of public streets, and other requirements of authorities having jurisdiction. • The project requires a qualified, competent, Resident Superintendent satisfactory to the City Engineer or his-her representative. • The contractor must provide temporary toilets, wash facilities, and drinking water facilities with potable water approved by local health authorities. • The contractor must comply with sanitary facilities requirements, including providing toilet tissue, paper towels, paper cups, and similar disposable materials. • The project includes a preconstruction conference, progress meetings, and a project closeout conference. • The contractor must provide a written summary identifying individuals or firms proposed for each portion of the work, including those who are to furnish products or equipment fabricated to a special design. • The contractor must submit a list of key personnel assignments, including superintendent and other personnel in attendance at the project site.
