Water Meter Measuring Chamber Testing Services

The City of Norfolk is seeking a responsible vendor to provide water meter testing services. The contractor will be required to test and calibrate water meter measuring chambers in accordance with American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards. The contractor must have experience with accuracy testing of large and small water meters and ensure that all water meter testing is performed by a certified water meter technician. The contract term is five years, and the city reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. • The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the testing and calibration of water meter measuring chambers. • The contractor must have a minimum of $1,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance and $2,000,000 in worker's compensation insurance. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The contractor must provide a certificate of insurance evidencing the required insurance coverage. • The contractor must indemnify and save harmless the City and its representatives from and against all losses and claims arising from the contractor's performance under the contract.
