Description
The Department of the Interior, Interior Business Center (IBC), intends to issue a sole-source award to Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Inc. for one PromethION 2 Integrated (P2i) long-read sequencing platform. The platform will be used to support CCR Genomics Core operations that provide long-read genomic sequencing services essential to intramural cancer research programs. The scope of work includes installation, calibration, training, and standard warranty support.
• The PromethION 2 Integrated platform provides advanced long-read DNA and RNA sequencing capabilities, real-time analysis, integrated GPU-accelerated basecalling, modified base detection, and full compatibility with existing ONT PromethION flow cells and validated CCR workflows.
• The CCR Genomics Core requires an upgrade from its current PromethION 2 Solo (P2 Solo) instrument, which relies on external compute hardware.
• Oxford Nanopore Technologies is the sole manufacturer and exclusive supplier of all PromethION-class sequencing platforms.
