The National Park Service intends to award a single source justified cooperative agreement to the American Conservation Experience (ACE) for a project involving lands restoration and wildlife education. The project aims to provide opportunities for youth to learn about the environment by working on projects in National Parks. The ACE will hire one to two interns per year to work in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, assisting with park projects in the Resource Stewardship and Science Division. The NPS will provide education, training, and oversight for the intern experience. The project includes tasks such as evaluating restoration needs, noxious weed eradication, native vegetation restoration, erosion control, and restoration and water development management.
