Description
The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering (BOE), Sidewalk Compliance Division (SCD) is seeking a consultant to provide full program management services, horizontal layout design services, construction management services, and inspection for initiation, development, and delivery of the Public Right-of-Way Pedestrian Facility Maintenance for the LA28 Games (Program). The program aims to remediate access barriers and prioritize the mechanism and timeline for barrier removal or mitigation. The consultant will be responsible for assessing facilities, determining the severity of non-compliance, and providing repair options. The key aspects of the project include:
• Assessing facilities to determine compliance with accessibility criteria
• Determining the severity of non-compliance using a barrier severity scoring system
• Providing repair options for non-compliant facilities
• Prioritizing repairs based on safety and accessibility requirements
• Managing the program and providing construction management services
• Inspecting facilities to ensure compliance with accessibility standards
