Notice of Intent to Sole Source SunSCAN 3D System

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Sun Nuclear for a SunSCAN 3D System, including associated software and installation. The Sun Nuclear system is uniquely qualified due to its automated setup process, which automates the precise physical positioning of a 3D scanning water phantom. • The contract will be for a Sun Nuclear SunSCAN 3D System, including associated software and installation. • The system is required for its automated setup process, which is currently unique to Sun Nuclear. • The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). • Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
