Tree Obstruction Remediation

The City of Charlotte’s Aviation Department is seeking qualified vendors to remediate vegetation obstructions within the airspace surrounding Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). The work includes tree clearing and topping to maintain clearances at least 20 feet below the FAA Part 77 surface across roughly 175 acres, performed in phased priority based on operational criticality. • Scope: Tree removal, pruning, and topping within the One Engine Inoperative (OEI) surface and Runway Protection Zone (RPZ). • Requirements: Vendors must carry automobile, general liability, and workers’ compensation insurance. • Value & Term: Project valued between $1 M and $4.99 M, with contract lasting until project completion.
