Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is seeking quotes for the provision of two explosive-resistant friction ovens. The ovens will be used to dry, cure, and conduct thermal aging studies on energetic materials. The ovens must meet specific requirements, including being intrinsically safe, able to operate in a Class I/Division I area, and having remote control capabilities. The ovens should have interior dimensions of approximately 37" x 34" x 42", operating temperatures of 40oC to 90oC, and a maximum oven temperature of at least 120oC.
• The ovens must have a purging system to comply with NFPA regulations.
• The ovens should come with three material trays with a size of approximately 36" x 33" x 1" and have room for additional trays.
• A spare Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and spare Human-Machine Interface (HMI) dashboard shall be provided.
• A minimum 1-year warranty shall be provided.
