Description
The County of Los Angeles is seeking bids for a brand new 4x4 full-size extended cab pickup truck with a customized utility body. The vehicle must meet specific requirements, including a 6.2L gasoline engine, 8-cylinder, 2-valve, SOHC, sequential electronic fuel injected, 385 Horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. Torque. The utility body must have specific dimensions and features, including a shallow compartment behind the cab, a compartment above the wheel house, and a compartment after the axle. The vehicle must also have a heavy-duty suspension package, heavy-duty front and rear gas shocks, and power assist steering.
• The vehicle must be delivered with a full tank of fuel and have "Exempt License Plates" installed at the time of delivery.
• The vendor must provide a copy of the revised specification, invoice, and a copy of the purchase order.
• The vehicle must meet all California State and Federal guidelines, regulations, and rules.
• The warranty shall begin the day the County of Los Angeles receives the vehicle with its current odometer reading.
• A mandatory pre-delivery inspection is required, and any exceptions to the vehicle specification must be approved in writing by the Department purchasing the vehicle.
