The Victorville Water District is seeking bids for the Turnout 5 Project, which involves constructing a connection to the Mojave Water Agency's Regional Recharge and Recovery (R3) system. The project includes installing a connection to the R3 pipeline, constructing approximately 1.25 miles of 24-inch diameter mortar-lined and coated welded steel water main, and building a new metering facility at the Amethyst Pump Station. The project aims to enable the City of Victorville to utilize R3 water as a supplemental water supply. Key aspects of the project include: * Installing a connection to the R3 pipeline along Mesa Street * Constructing a new metering facility at the Amethyst Pump Station * Building approximately 1.25 miles of 24-inch diameter mortar-lined and coated welded steel water main * Providing flow control and measurement functionality * Ensuring compliance with California labor laws and regulations * Meeting the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) * Implementing environmental mitigation, monitoring, and reporting measures * Coordinating with the City of Victorville and the Mojave Water Agency * Ensuring public safety and convenience during construction * Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. The successful bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide performance and payment bonds, as well as proof of insurance and other necessary documentation.
