The Kansas Department of Agriculture is seeking competitive bids for the purpose of supplying a Non-Intrusive Ultrasonic Flow Meter. The contract term will be from the date of contract execution through June 30, 2031, with no options for renewals. The flow meter should be portable, ultra-sonic, transit time, non-intrusive, and suitable for measuring pipe flow of various qualities, pressures, and temperatures. The system must include a simple, easy-to-use pipe clamping fixture with transducers, detailed software application instructions, and installation set-up instructions. The flow meter will be used for irrigation applications in Kansas, but it should also be suitable for municipal, stock, and industrial applications.
Some key features required for the flow meter include:
• Measuring flow on various pipe materials, including steel, copper, PVC, aluminum, and ductile iron, with pipe sizes ranging from 0.5 to 24 inches and optional sizes up to 300 inches.
• A hand-held pipe wall thickness gauge with a rechargeable battery that measures to the nearest 0.001 inches.
• Transducers capable of measuring 0.5 to 24-inch pipe diameters and all mounting/clamping hardware.
• The ability to measure and log velocity, rate, mass, energy, and total volume flow.
• Bluetooth technology for data transfer to a PC, laptop, or tablet, with a minimum of 8GB of data logging storage.
• A minimum of 4-20 mA analog inputs and outputs, with digital output including pulse (totalizer), frequency, and alarm (qty1).
The bidder is required to provide a cost sheet with the brand and model of the flow meter, technical support costs, and on-site support costs for a period of five years.
