Description
The Naval Supply System Command (NAVSUP) and Military Sealift Command (MSC) are seeking information from shipyards in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) outside the contiguous United States that have experience with Ultra-High Solids (UHS) coating systems using plural-component spray equipment. The MSC is transitioning to UHS coating systems, which require specific equipment and expertise. Respondents are asked to provide information on their past performance, coating manufacturer experience, quality assurance protocols, and applicator training.
• Past performance with plural-component coatings on Department of War (DoW) or large-scale commercial vessels
• Coating manufacturer experience with plural-component delivery systems
• Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) protocols for volumetric mix ratios and fluid temperatures
• Applicator training for operating and troubleshooting plural-component spray systems
