Sources Sought: Landing Platform Dock (LPD) Flight II Detailed Design and Construction (DD&C)

The Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting market research to identify shipyards interested in and capable of designing and building Landing Platform Docks (LPDs). The contemplated requirement is to provide engineering, planning, management, labor, material, and facilities as required to accomplish LPD Flight II Detailed Design and Construction (DD&C). Interested parties are requested to submit information on their facility's capability and capacity, production strategy and sourcing capabilities, and shipyard workforce. The submissions should include information on the company's experience in constructing similar vessels, facility investments, and workforce capabilities. • The LPD Flight II has specific characteristics, including a length of 684 feet, a beam of 105 feet, a displacement of 25,300 tons, and a draft of 23 feet. • The shipyard must have facilities capable of supporting a ship with these characteristics. • The submission should include a cover page with general demographic information, production strategy and sourcing capabilities, and shipyard facilities information. • The submission should also include information on the company's past performance, pricing methodology, and point of contact.
