Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to Sysmex America, Inc. for the procurement of a comprehensive Flow Cytometer System for WBC Immunophenotype and T-Lymphocyte Subset testing, along with an extended service contract for existing Sysmex equipment in the Flow Cytometry testing area. The contract includes the provision of a Flow Cytometer System, report software, testing capabilities, installation and validation, maintenance and support, and training. The period of performance is one base year with two option years.
• The Flow Cytometer System must meet specific specifications, including compatibility with the Sysmex PS-10 Sample Processing Unit and a minimum acquisition rate of 30,000 events per second.
• The report software must be compatible with Data Innovations and VistA, and have re-gating capability outside cell acquisition timeframe.
• The testing capabilities include CD4/CD8 testing, WBC Immunophenotype testing, and full CD marker panel availability with a minimum 6-month expiration.
• The installation and validation must be completed within 90 days of contract award, and must meet The Joint Commission (TJC) guidelines.
• The maintenance and support services include preventative maintenance, telephone technical support, on-site repair services, and all parts, materials, and labor at no additional cost.
• The training includes three Basic Operator Training slots, three Multicolor Flow Cytometry training slots, and one additional Basic or Advanced Operator class per year.
