Description
The City of Raleigh is seeking to pre‑qualify up to five broker/dealer firms for inclusion in a five‑year “Approved Broker/Dealer Investment Pool.” The pool will support the City’s $1.8 billion investment portfolio, which consists mainly of U.S. Treasury and agency securities, money‑market instruments, and bank accounts. Firms must submit a detailed questionnaire covering corporate structure, regulatory standing, financial condition, transaction history, fee schedules, and references with public‑sector clients. The City will evaluate based on litigation history, regulatory status, financial health, experience with public funds, transaction failure rates, and compliance with the City’s Investment and Portfolio Policy and North Carolina statutes. Successful firms will be notified in writing but are not guaranteed any minimum transaction volume. The qualification period runs for five years, after which a new process will be initiated. • Open to broker/dealer firms (including primary dealers) interested in municipal investment services. • Submission deadline: October 14, 2026 4:00 PM ET. • No cost reimbursement; firms bear all preparation costs. • Required attachments: audited financial statements, FINRA reports, resumes, fee schedules, and client references. • Evaluation may include interviews or requests for supplemental information.
