International Student Health Insurance

The College of Charleston is seeking proposals for international student health insurance. The selected provider will be required to offer a fully funded health insurance plan for international students, be licensed in the State of South Carolina to underwrite and/or administer health insurance, and be in full compliance with state laws. The provider must also be able to provide services to assist students who are traveling abroad and within the United States. The contract is expected to last for one year. Key requirements include: • Mandatory Hard Waiver a fully funded health insurance Plan for International Students • Licensed in the State of South Carolina to underwrite and/or administer health insurance • In full compliance with state laws • Ability to offer services to assist students who are traveling abroad and within the United States • PPO service available nationwide • Provisions for hearing and visually impaired callers and web users • ISO (or similar) certification at time of proposal submission • A.M. Best of A- or Standard & Poors Rating of “A” or better
