Description
The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center is seeking an A/E firm to correct structural deficiencies and renovate Building 8. The project involves investigating the existing conditions of the area and its systems, designing a renovation plan, and potentially demolishing and reconstructing the building. The A/E firm will be responsible for conducting site visits, verifying existing documents and as-built drawings, and designing within the construction budget. The firm must also comply with VA standards, design guides, and current codes for structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, seismic, and life safety.
• The project requires the A/E firm to have experience in designing similar types of work/facilities and evaluating their technical competence.
• The firm must provide brief resumes of proposed team members, including project managers, designers of record, and quality control managers.
• The firm must also provide information on their past performance, including construction cost estimating, cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules.
• The project has an estimated construction price range of $10,000,000 to $20,000,000.
• The project is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms.
