The US Air Force intends to award a sole-source contract to Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the migration of radio sites from T1 to Ethernet connectivity at Malmstrom Air Force Base. The project requires system integration, engineering, and testing services to migrate the existing RF sites to newer, more efficient technologies. The contractor will provide a project manager, system engineer, and installation technicians to finalize the network design, reconfigure the systems, move cables, perform site cutovers, and conduct end-to-end testing of the enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR) infrastructure. The key tasks include project management and coordination, engineering and design, installation and cutover execution, and system integration and acceptance testing.
• The contractor must have experience with Motorola Solutions' proprietary communications ecosystem.
• The contractor must be able to integrate with the existing MPLS hardware and modify the system without compromising the network's security, integrity, and mission-critical reliability.
• The contractor must provide a project kickoff and design review, cutover plan, and "as-installed" documentation.
• The contractor must comply with anti-terrorism and safety measures, including Level I - AT Awareness Training and adherence to real-world FPCON measures.
