Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified contractor to remove 11 public‑right‑of‑way trees and/or stumps along South 3rd Street and to perform associated site restoration. The contractor must remove each tree in its entirety, grind stumps to a 24‑inch depth (or fully, whichever occurs first), back‑fill and compact the holes, protect all underground utilities, and execute daily debris removal while complying with OSHA and traffic‑control standards. Work must be finished within 60 days of the contract start date, with payment made after City acceptance.
• Remove entire trees and grind stumps (24 in depth) for 11 locations.
• Back‑fill, compact, and restore the roadway surface to grade.
• Coordinate utility protection (NC 811) and adhere to safety/traffic‑control requirements.
• Provide all labor, equipment, disposal, and any required fill material at no extra cost to the City.
• Submit weekly progress reports; correct any deficiencies within two weeks.
