Broadband Field Validation

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is seeking a vendor to support field validation for broadband deployments through Connect Illinois Round 3 and Connect Illinois Round 4, the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program. The selected vendor will be responsible for on-the-ground testing to verify coverage reported by internet service providers, including testing of wireline, fixed wireless, and low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite service. The contract is expected to last for 5 years, and the vendor must enter a blended hourly rate for invoicing purposes. Some key requirements for the vendor include: • Providing a detailed summary of experience in broadband field validation • Uploading examples of previous broadband field validation work within the last 5 years • Providing a summary of best practices for BEAD project field validation • Entering a blended hourly rate for invoicing purposes • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
