Description
The Joint Personal Property Shipping Office Mid-Atlantic (JPPSO-MA) is seeking a contractor to provide transportation services for household goods, unaccompanied baggage, and non-temporary storage shipments for military and Department of Defense (DoD) civilian personnel. The contractor will be responsible for providing all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the required services. The contract will have a base year and four option years, with an estimated 18,333 shipments per year. The contractor must have experience with the Defense Department Personal Property Program and knowledge of the Defense Transportation Regulation.
• The contractor will provide services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and the Schedule of Services.
• The contractor will be responsible for the timely pickup, delivery, and storage of household goods within the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
• The contractor will provide an accurate, legible, and descriptive inventory of all goods tendered for shipment.
• The contractor will service and unservice appliances in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
• The contractor will provide cargo insurance with a minimum liability coverage of $50,000 per shipment.
