The City of Missoula is seeking a qualified private security firm to provide continuous patrol services on city‑owned lands, parks, trails, conservation areas, and public rights‑of‑way. The contractor will staff two officers from 4 p.m. to midnight and one officer from midnight to 8 a.m. daily (16 hours total), including weekends and holidays, and must operate vehicles marked with the company name. Responsibilities include daily electronic activity logs, coordination with the Missoula Police Department and other city departments, and optional coverage for special events outside regular hours. The contract does not require firearms, though firms that permit them are not excluded. Licensure under the Montana Private Security Program is mandatory, and the contractor must maintain workers’ compensation and liability insurance.
