Description
This project calls for the removal of an existing rotating beacon, its tower foundation, and associated wiring at Freeman Field Airport, followed by installation of a new rotating beacon, a tip‑down tower, a new foundation, and all required electrical connections at a new location. The work is a complete civil‑electrical replacement and must be performed in compliance with FAA Airport Improvement Program guidelines and local city requirements.
• Demolition of existing beacon, tower, foundation, and wiring.
• Installation of new beacon, tip‑down tower, concrete foundation, and new electrical wiring.
• Coordination with city officials and the Airport Advisory Board for site access and inspections.
• Requirement for a bid guaranty (≥5 % of bid) and performance/pay‑performance bonds (100 % of contract).
• All work must meet FAA, Title VI civil‑rights, and Federal Fair Labor Standards Act provisions.
