The Phillipsburg Board of Education is seeking a qualified transportation contractor to provide student‑bus services for the 2025‑2026 school year (Route 106). The contractor must supply compliant school buses equipped with two‑way radios or cell‑phone systems and functional interior/forward‑view DVRs, staff drivers and aides who meet extensive NJ background‑check and training requirements, and maintain rigorous reporting, insurance, and bonding standards. Service begins May 26 2026 and runs through August 21 2026, covering all eligible public, private, and non‑public students, including special‑education pupils.
• Provide daily transportation (pick‑up and drop‑off) on designated routes, with a bus aide required for Route 106.
• Submit a detailed street‑by‑street route description for special‑education/non‑public routes within 10 days of contract start.
• Deliver monthly invoices by the 10th; payment on or about the 30th of each month, with June payment due June 30 2026.
• Maintain $1.5 M liability insurance, a 5 % bid guarantee (max $50k), and a performance bond equal to the full annual contract amount.
