Description
The County of Daviess is seeking a qualified contractor to provide full‑service wood‑grinding, shredding and disposal at two County waste‑handling sites. The contractor must supply all equipment, labor, fuel, maintenance and transport (except for an optional “ground‑in‑place” option) and complete grinding at each site within fifteen working days of commencement. Pricing is on a per‑ton basis for approximately 2,200 tons of wood annually. The award will be a one‑year contract with the possibility of up to four one‑year extensions.

• Service locations: West Daviess County Landfill and Grimes Avenue Transfer Station in Owensboro, KY.
• Vendor must hold local business licenses, provide $1 M general liability and other insurance, and submit unit‑price bids by May 14 2026.
