Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified firm to provide on‑call tree‑service support, including removal, stump grinding, and pruning, on a task‑order basis. The contract is a three‑year master agreement with a possible two‑year extension, allowing the City to issue individual work orders as needs arise. Contractors must demonstrate the ability to handle roughly 25 tree removals per year, have appropriate equipment, and meet stringent safety and utility‑protection standards. Evaluation heavily weights qualifications, equipment, references, and M/WBE outreach. No minimum work volume is guaranteed, and pricing will be negotiated per task order.
• Scope: tree removal (including stump grinding), pruning, emergency response, utility and property protection.
• Delivery: emergency work within 24 hrs; non‑emergency start within 30 days, complete within 60 days.
• Requirements: NC business license, ISA‑certified arborist, OSHA/ANSI compliance, $1 M CGL, $1 M auto, $500 k workers’ comp, professional liability, and a Certificate of Non‑Collusion.
• Evaluation: 40 % qualifications/experience, 20 % equipment, 20 % references, 10 % capacity/availability, 10 % M/WBE outreach.
