On Call Geotechnical and Materials Testing Services for Capital Improvement Projects Calendar Year 2026-2027

The City of Bakersfield is seeking a consultant to provide geotechnical and materials testing services for various projects in calendar years 2026 and 2027. The consultant will be responsible for providing material testing services, including soils and asphalt testing, and preparing daily reports and final reports for each project. The consultant must have experience in geotechnical and materials testing, and must be certified by Caltrans and ASTM. The City reserves the right to request separate proposals from consultants for any individual project. • The consultant must have a staffed office/lab within the Bakersfield Metropolitan area. • The consultant must have experience in construction practices for public works type projects. • The consultant must have knowledge of State of California Transportation and ASTM testing procedures. • The consultant must have a Quality Assurance Program conforming to the City’s QAP. • The consultant must be able to comply with the City’s Quality Assurance Program. • The consultant must have a current Cal-Trans materials laboratory certification for all technicians.
