Munitions Storage Igloos, Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota

The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Omaha District is seeking sources for the construction of two munitions storage igloos at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. The project involves demolishing two existing earth-covered munition storage igloos and building new earth-covered magazines (ECMs) with concrete access pavement, communications, security systems, and utility electrical connections. The site work includes regrading, new hardstand for access, concrete, and bollards. The contractor must coordinate access and inspections of all materials brought into the munition storage area (MSA). • The project is expected to range between $8,000,000.00 and $12,000,000.00. • The project period of performance is 540 calendar days from construction Notice to Proceed (NTP). • Respondents must demonstrate specialized capabilities in engineering explosion-resistant facilities and high-security compliance. • Respondents must have experience with similar projects, including earth-covered magazines (ECM), specialized concrete and steel, and site work such as concrete apron construction, road access, and utility connections.
