Description
The United States Air Force is conducting market research to identify contractors capable of supplying Wheel Storage and Transportation containers for F-35 wheels. The containers should be designed to provide safe, efficient, and reliable shipping and storage, allowing for ease of stowing and removal of F-35 mated wheels, tires, rims, and wheel accessories. The requirements include:
• Must be capable of storage and transportation of two rows of wheels in diameter of 15” to 18” or one row of wheels from 19” to 33”.
• Must be made of rugged high-grade steel.
• Must fit within standard ISU-90 (108” W x 88” L x 91” H).
• Should be stackable, forklift able, and moveable land-sea-air.
The Air Force is looking for vendors who can provide information about their capabilities and capacity to satisfy the requirement, as well as estimates of lead time.
