The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services is offering a one‑year firm‑fixed‑price contract (with four optional one‑year extensions) to purchase up to 1,070,000 lb of mixed metallic and non‑metallic scrap located at Fort Meade, MD and two remote sites. The Government guarantees a minimum of 525,000 lb; the contractor must provide roll‑off containers, handle loading, weighing, and removal of material, and comply with extensive environmental, safety, and reporting requirements. Bids are submitted as a price per pound for each of three material categories; the highest total revenue bid wins. Inspection of the material is permitted by appointment starting August 28 2026; the bid deadline is September 28 2026.
