Description
The County of Cameron is seeking a qualified contractor to design‑build the Old Alice Road corridor. The contract encompasses full roadway construction, bridge work, water‑distribution improvements, wastewater infrastructure, and associated utility and traffic‑control installations. The scope is delivered as a single, integrated bid package that includes all civil, structural, and utility components, with performance, payment, and maintenance bonds required.
• Design‑build of ~30 mi of roadway, including limestone base, asphalt pavement, drainage, markings, and signage.
• Bridge construction/rehabilitation, reinforced concrete slabs, and related structural work.
• Installation and upgrade of water mains, fire‑hydrants, valves, irrigation wells, and sanitary sewer pipelines with extensive testing.
• Traffic‑control devices, temporary erosion controls, and environmental mitigation measures.
• Mandatory compliance with Texas Child‑Support Business Ownership Form, performance and payment bonds (100 % of contract), and a 408‑working‑day schedule with liquidated damages.
