Professional Engineering Services for Dam Support

The City of Ann Arbor is seeking up to two consulting firms to provide as‑needed professional engineering services for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of four high‑hazard dams (Barton, Superior, Argo, and Geddes). The work includes design, inspection, compliance with FERC and EGLE regulations, construction administration, grant and permit assistance, and emergency preparedness. This is a 3‑year contract (with possible one‑year extensions) valued between $500 K and $1 M, with no guaranteed minimum spend. • Services cover structural assessments, dam‑break analyses, mechanical repairs, civil/structural design, and on‑site engineering support. • Required experience includes FERC‑related dam safety work, EGLE compliance, and local project management in Michigan. • Proposals must include mandatory non‑discrimination, living‑wage, and conflict‑of‑interest declarations; fee schedule with hourly rates; and a Level‑of‑Effort estimate for a typical year.
